TARA ERICA MOORE
Director - Producer - Editor - Writer

Picture
Born under Apartheid, and raised bouncing between South Africa and Connecticut—  with a foot in both worlds and illusions about neither—  Tara Erica Moore's bi-continental upbringing, along with her biracial identity (she is of South Asian and English descent), greatly informs her film-making perspective. She is guided by her belief in the power of media to change the world.

Her debut film, the 2025 Oscars® contender, LEGACY: APARTHEID'S SHADOW— which she directed, edited, wrote, and produced— was described by Variety as a "People's History of South Africa".  The film has been invited to screen at prominent institutions worldwide, including the World Bank, the South African Embassy, and Yale's Whitney, where it proved to be a catalyst for meaningful dialogue on universal themes of race, power, and accountability. Further testament to the film's international relevance and urgency is its inclusion in the syllabi of Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Brown, and other many leading universities worldwide.

Tara holds a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson.
