TARA ERICA MOOREBorn under the complex backdrop of Apartheid and raised bouncing between South Africa and Connecticut, Tara's unique bi-racial, bi-continental perspective informs her film-making. She is driven by the belief that storytelling can inspire change and promote understanding.
LEGACY is her directorial debut. She wrote, directed, edited, and produced it. The film won the Best South African Documentary award and was a contender in the 2025 Oscar® race for Best Feature Documentary. The project reflects her commitment to social justice through storytelling. She has spent the past 15 years in Los Angeles gaining experience in the entertainment industry through various roles, from acting in well-syndicated television shows, to assisting prominent studio executives, to working on high-budget production sets, to over-seeing development. Tara holds a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson. |
